BASIC GRADING REQUIREMENTS

  • Sitting stance punching counting to 10 in Korean
  • Rising kicks
  • Jab cross
  • Basic line work, punching, front kicking and blocking
  • 5 GOOD press ups

You should bow when you enter the hall, and when you meet your fellow students, and when your eyes meet your instructor. WHY DO WE BOW? It is courteous, respectful and a show of strength.

Bandae dollyo chagi

The dividing line between north and south Korea.

Blue signifies the heaven toward which the plant grows into a towering tree as training in TKD progresses.

Two movements are performed in one sine wave and one breath. Connecting motion is always with two movements using opposite arms.

Sonkut tulgi

Thrust is usually linear / straight. Strikes usually curved, arced and with an open or semi opened hand.
